Guided group visit to the Santa Giulia Museum

COST –  adult 60 euros – child 55 euros – If the group is made up of at least 10 people the costs are reduced by 20%

2 pm meeting point in piazza del foro where we will begin our tour along the Unesco Corridor: we will admire the exteriors of the Roman temple and the theater and then enter the museum of Santa Giulia, a former Benedectine monastery which today shows its long history through its finds of the city of Brescia.

Starting from prehistory we will immerse ourselves in the Celtic culture of the Cenomani Gauls to then discover the ancient Romans and their houses (two are very well preserved in the museum!). we will get to know the Lombards who ruled much of Italy in the Middle Ages and who founded the monastery of S.Giulia with the beautiful church of S.Salvatore and its crypt.

We will discover what the church of S.Maria in Solario is doing inside a tower and we admire the cross of King Desiderio studded with precious stones. Finally we will visit the nun’s Chore, full of stunning frescoes made during the Renaissance.
