All you need to know about 26th September

The day is dedicated to exploring Brescia and its rich history.

Teams will partecipate at an amazing and funny tresure historic hunt all around the center of the city. Historical Treasure Hunt that will take participants on a journey through the past like never before. An immersive adventure as we explore the hidden gems and untold stories of BRIXIA. From ancient artifacts to legendary landmarks, this treasure hunt promises excitement, discovery, and a chance to connect with history in a unique way.

A sightseeing tour to discover the history and art of Brescia is dedicated to NO, judges, coaches and supporters.

Lunch and dinner will take place in various locations throughout the city.

For lunch, all guests will be divided according to their delegation into one or more locations in the city center.

Dinner will be held in just three pizzerias with two shifts (18:30-20:00 and 20:00-21:30), divided again by delegation. Since each location is unique, the offerings from the different restaurants will also be distinct. We invite you to discover them !

Historical
TRESURE HUNT
for team members

A TREASURE HUNT has been created inside the city’s most important museum: Museo Santa Giulia, where they can discover Roman history, visit the cloisters, and much more, but also have fun.

The purpose of this activity is to create new friendships among teams that typically only meet at competition tables. Since the teams are from different age groups KIDS (6-10 years), ELEMENTARY (8-12 years), JUNIOR (11-14 years), and SENIOR (14-19 YEARS), we have created 4 different routes with questions of varying difficulty. All teams have been divided into SUPERTEAMS. Each SuperTeam consists of 5 or 6 teams of the same age group.

The meeting point for all Superteams is PIAZZA DUOMO: Teams will be accompanied from PIAZZA DUOMO by one of our assistants to the entrance of the Museo Santa Giulia and when the treasure hunt is finished back to Piazza Duomo.

Piazza Duomo and Museo di Santa Giulia are located in the pedestrian area.

The participants only need to cross one street, where cars pass by. The walk from Piazza Duomo to Museo di Santa Giulia takes 5 minutes.

VERY IMPORTANT!: Upon arrival at the Brixia Forum, each team member received a colored T-shirt, which MUST be worn during the Treasure Hunt. All members of the same SuperTeam have T-shirts of the same color! This allows them to recognize each other and for the guide to distinguish them from all other SuperTeams.

National Organizer, coaches and supporters can accompany the team members to the museum entrance and pick them up at the exit, but they cannot enter the museum as it would otherwise be too crowded. The museum is dedicated to the participants!

Moreover, it is very difficult for team members to get lost inside the museum.

THE MEETING POINT for DEPARTURE is ALWAYS Piazza Duomo. If it doesn’t rain, all SuperTeams will make a stop at the Capitolium for a group photo. Since the museum cannot accommodate everyone at once, we have scheduled the SuperTeams throughout the day.

For NO, coaches, judges and supporters there is a tour around Brescia to let you discover the totally unexpected Roman side of Lombardy’s second city, once called Brixia. We will stroll through the city’s charming center, retracing Brixia’s Roman aspect and discovering its hidden gems of its medieval age.

Lunch

All the venues we have reserved specifically for lunch for those registered at the WRO OPEN Championship are in the main squares of the city:

Piazza Duomo, a historic square in the shadow of the two cathedrals
Piazza Vittoria, created by the urban planner Piacentini at the beginning of the 1930s through the demolition of part of the medieval historic center
Piazza Mercato, an open-air testament to various architectural eras from the 15th-century arcades on the south side to the former covered market dating back to the 1960s

The different venues will offer you a light lunch, which includes a choice between two dishes, a drink, and an Italian coffee. All venues have different offerings based on their menu. At the end of lunch, you can enjoy a true Italian coffee. The choice between the two dishes allows you to respect your dietary choices indicated in the WRO registration system.

An artisanal pasta factory in the heart of the city of Brescia that produces fresh and filled pasta daily, using the highest quality ingredients and recipes. You can buy your pasta raw to cook at home, or choose the size, match the sauce, and watch our chefs at work preparing your pasta in minutes in take-away or to be eaten directly from us.

PIZZA Dinner

For dinner, we have invited you to try a real Italian pizza. You will discover that there are different types of pizzas and that pizza has evolved in general. You will try Neapolitan pizza, small and thick, or thin pizza with different doughs (classic-multi-grain/low-carb-black). Each pizzeria offers different options, but all include a choice between 3 different pizzas, a drink, and a true Italian espresso coffee.

GLUTEN INTOLERANT: For those intolerant to gluten, pizzerias can offer gluten-free dough. Unfortunately, all pizzas are not suitable for celiacs as they are subject to contamination during baking.

We have chosen 4 famous pizzerias for their offerings.

We have also planned two dinner shifts:
